The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program in France

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their postgraduate programs.



This postgraduate scholarship gives opportunity and encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries at master's level, and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at the Ph.D. level.



For a master’s degree, the Eiffel scholarship consists of a monthly allowance of €1,181 (a maintenance allowance of €1,031 plus a stipend of €150). Besides, the following benefits are provided:

This fully-funded postgraduate scholarship is open for students from over 180 countries looking to pursue a master's or Ph.D. degree. The recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS).



The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young researchers from abroad who have completed a master's degree or Ph.D. and at foreign artists holding a bachelor's degree. These are the two types of scholarship:


  • The research scholarship is available to post-graduate researchers in any discipline (who hold a master’s degree as a minimum) who are planning to come to Switzerland to pursue research or further studies at the doctoral or post-doctoral level. Research scholarships are awarded for research or study at all Swiss cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences, and the two federal institutes of technology, as well as the four research institutes. Only candidates nominated by an academic mentor at one of these higher education institutions will be considered.
  • Art scholarships are open to art students wishing to pursue an initial master’s degree in Switzerland. Art scholarships are awarded for study at any Swiss conservatory or university of the arts.


The Belgium Government Scholarships

The Belgium Government Scholarships provides about 220 fully-funded scholarships available for international students looking to study for a full-time master's degree or to take up a training course in Belgium. This scholarship is available for the duration of 1 Year for Master's Degree programs and 4 to 6 Months for Practical Training Development.

  • a stipend of €16,000/year
  • a contribution to fees, including non-EU fees, up to a maximum of €5,750/year
  • eligible direct research expenses of €2,250/year
