  1. What is LingoTalk? LingoTalk came from a passion for languages, as our founders are all polyglots. It envisions to be a fun and exciting platform for Indonesians to boost up their confidence and skill by speaking another language. Our mission is to bring foreign language to life by providing real-life conversational and spoken language courses in a fun and effective way. We empower our aspiring tutors by providing the opportunity to share their knowledge and gain first-hand experience in language teaching.

  2. Is it true that LingoTalk once offered offline classes? Yes! Established in 2017, we were launched as an offline platform in Yogyakarta and has had offered numerous language classes for locals and foreigners living in the city. Starting in April 2020, we are moving from the conventional method to a one-on-one online language learning platform marked by the launching of our new website, lingotalk.co.

  3. Why is LingoTalk moving online and becoming an online platform? We understand your need to learn with a much more flexible time and place. Our vision is to provide a platform for everyone who wants to learn a new language. Therefore, we are moving online fully so we can customize the courses to your needs.

  4. Why should I choose LingoTalk as the place where I want to study foreign languages? LingoTalk offers tutoring courses that are privately 1-on-1 classes, entirely online, and highly flexible, the first-ever in Indonesia. Apart from that, our tutors are qualified teachers with language accreditation that should never be in doubt. For those of you who are planning to study or live abroad, communication is the key to have a better experience. Thus, to speak a language fluently is the most important thing to learn and that is what we are offering in our courses.

  5. Who can learn with LingoTalk? Everyone should have the same right to broaden their knowledge. Hence, whoever you are, you can be a LingoBuddy as long as you have the desire to learn. There is no specific age range to study with LingoTalk.

  6. Is there any promotional price or discount if I want to purchase a LingoTalk course? Offering an affordable price is one of our values.   1. How do I make an account? You can create an account by following the steps as follows:
  • Go to www.lingotalk.co
  • Click on Register button on the right upper corner
  • Choose the language you interested in
  • Choose your current ability in the language you interested in
  • Fill all of the required fields on the registration form
  • Click on Submit button or press Enter
  • We will send you a link to your email for you to confirm the account registration
  1. How do I reset my password? If you've forgotten your password, you can simply reset it at our Login page. If you're already logged in but want to update your password, you can do so at Lingotalk's Edit Profile page. Here's how to reset your password:

  • Enter your email address in the open field

  1. How do I change my username or nickname? Username or nickname that has been registered could not be change.

  2. Can I access my Lingotalk account on a mobile device? Yes, you can access your account via www.lingotalk.co on a mobile device.

  3. Can I access Lingotalk on multiple devices? Yes, Lingotalk can be accessed on as many devices as you like. You just have to make sure that you log in each time with the same email address and password you used to create your Lingotalk account.

  4. What do I do if the Lingotalk website isn't working? First, make sure that you have a stable internet connection when accessing www.lingotalk.co on your device. If the website is still not working, please contact us at tech@lingotalk.co.

  5. Can I purchase for more than one course? Yes, you can purchase as many courses as you want.

  6. What payment methods can I use to pay for the course fee? Payment methods that can be used are credit card and transfer.

  7. What do I do if there are problems with midtrans payment? If there are problems with midtrans payment, please contact Midtrans by visiting midtrans.com/contact.

  8. What do I do if I have paid for the course but don't have access? First, make sure that you have stable internet connection when accessing www.lingotalk.co on your device. If you still don't have access to the course you've paid for, kindly check whether you have authenticated your account. If you have and are still unable to access the course, please contact us at tech@lingotalk.co.

  9. I had successfully paid for the course. Can I change my schedules? To request a schedule change, please contact us at support@lingotalk.co.

Courses

  1. What are the languages provided by LingoTalk Language Course? LingoTalk Language Course currently provides courses for English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Thai, and Bahasa Indonesia for Foreigners.

  2. What are the competency levels provided by LingoTalk? How does LingoTalk determine which competency level I am in? Currently, LingoTalk Language Courses provides 4 different levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, and Upper-Intermediate. To determine your level, you will be asked to fill in a registration form. The tutor will also determine your competency level at the end of the first meeting.

  3. Are tutors at LingoTalk certified (e.g.: TOEFL, IELTS, TOPIK, DELF, DELE, etc.)? Yes, most of our tutors are certified with B2-C2 levels in CEFR Framework, N3/N2 for Japanese, HSK 5 for Chinese, and TOPIK 5/6 for Korean. That is why we can ensure you that our tutors have certified competency in their respective languages.

  4. What learning medias does LingoTalk use for its classes? Can I have access to all media openly? LingoTalk will use a module called LingoBook as a learning guideline. We will also use other media, such as audio and video. All of the media will only be shared with our registered students.

  5. Does LingoTalk accept students who do not have any basic knowledge of the language they register? Yes, LingoTalk provides the Beginner level for students who want to learn a language from its very basics.

  6. If I have a sudden and urgent matter that forces me to cancel the class, how can I do that? The class cancellation can be done by sending an e-mail to LingoTalk, a maximum of 24 hours before the class starts. The cancellation can only be done once in every 10 meetings (1 sub-level). Without the cancellation, the class is considered ongoing and the student will not get any replacements for that particular class.

  7. What facilities will I get from becoming a student at LingoTalk Language Course? Students at LingoTalk will receive learning modules, quizzes, assignments, exams, and additional materials that are curated and created specifically by the tutors at LingoTalk. Students will also receive their development report after 1 sub-level has ended. At the end of each session, students will get personal feedback from the tutors.

  8. How long is each meeting at LingoTalk? Each class at LingoTalk lasts for 90 minutes.

  9. Can I change my course schedule each week? Unfortunately, no. The course schedule will apply for 10 meetings and students will only get 1 chance to change the class schedule. The change can apply to either 1 meeting or the rest of the meetings.

  10. Will I get a certificate after completing 1 level at LingoTalk? For the time being, no. LingoTalk will not issue any certificates in the near future. However, LingoTalk will provide a final report that will help you understand your strengths and weaknesses after completing 1 level.

  11. Can I get a free trial before enrolling to LingoTalk? Free trial classes will only be given at specific events. It will not be offered constantly at any time. So, stay tuned to our website and Instagram account for further information!

  12. Will I be taught by the same tutor from the beginning until the end of the level? No, you will experience being taught by several tutors, according to the available schedule from both parties. However, we ensure you that the lessons will still be integrated as we have a system that enables tutors to understand your development.

  13. Does LingoTalk curriculum support preparation for certified language examinations? Yes, we really make an effort to adjust our curriculum and teaching methods to help you ace certified language examinations. However, we suggest you enroll in our class specifically designed for foreign languages certifications. The details of this class will be announced soon.

  14. Will I get a refund if I resign before using up my class quota? No, we do not accept any refund requests for whatever reasons.

  15. How often will I have a class in LingoTalk? You can book a class as often as you want to. However, we suggest you take 2 classes per week so that the information could be better understood and retained.

  16. Will I lose my class quota if I do not use it up in a certain amount of time? Yes, we provide you with 5 weeks to complete 1 sub-level (10 meetings). If you do not manage to finish up your class quota until that time, you will lose the quota and will not get a refund for it.
